This is a view very few will ever get to see again as it was taken from the Vancouver Empire Landmark Hotel, also known as the Sheraton Landmark Hotel. Once the tallest building in all of Vancouver, it was demolished in 2018-2019 to make room for some more modern buildings. Built in the early 1970s, The Empire Landmark Hotel was one of the staples of the Vancouver skyline for as long as most can remember. However, as the city began turning towards more modern, glass based, architecture, people fell out of love with the giant. Having stayed here, I can attest that while the view was great, the hotel was well past its prime. I will, however, miss this view.

I am an award winning photographer from Maple Ridge, a rather small town outside of Vancouver, Canada. I moved to Tokyo, Japan back in 2014 with a suitcase, a backpack, and a dream. Photography soon became a passion for me. I began photographing the beauty that all of Japan's 47 prefectures have to offer, and immediately knew I had to keep going. I've made it my goal to capture the beauty of Japan, and beyond. I try to visit 2 new prefectures per year. I've also photographed various locations in Korea and Vancouver. I currently reside in Kanagawa, Japan and focus on landscapes, nature, cityscapes, skylines, abstract architecture, and occasionally street photography.
