Richmond British Columbia is a city on the Lower Mainland and part of the Vancouver Metropolitan Region. With a population of about 200,000, it contains the Vancouver International Airport. About 60% of Richmond's population are immigrants,,many from Asia. Indeed!, Richmond has the highest proportion of immigrants of any city in Canada.

The Richmond Night Market is the largest Night Market in North America. It operates Fridays and Saturday nights, from May to October, and currently gets about about a million visitors each year, who enjoy its unique blend of exotic foods and and drinks and colourful attractions from all over the world.

If you are in the Vancouver area during the summer, be sure to visit the Richmond Night Market. It is a must! Bring along your appetite, and be adventurous and try the unique and exotic offerings.

I have been interested in photography since my high school days (in the chemical photography era) where I enjoyed standing under a safe-light in the school dark room watching the latent image slowly appear in the developer tray. I managed to acquire an enlarger and tied up the bathroom at home in an improvised dark room. I think fondly of those magical days while I am now sitting in my electronic darkroom trying to bring out the best in my images. Everything today is, of course, digital; but the basic skills and thrills of photography has not changed...
